EXECUTIVE: REGULATORY SERVICES

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- To develop and manage the implementation of the Regulatory strategy and the associated annual performance plans (APP).
- The administration and management of the end-to-end Permit regime processes.
- Develop Cross-border road transport regulations.
- Stakeholder relations management.
- Research and knowledge management.
- Establish viable and feasible cross-border road transport business and financing regulatory model, and
- People Management and Budget management.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge and application of regulatory models, processes, and procedures;
- Advanced computer skills;
- Stakeholder Management;
- Permit/Licensing management value-chain, management process and procedures;
- Ability to translate strategy into operations;
- Discretion in handling confidential information;
- Ethical, attention to detail, integrity and highly confidential.
Formal Qualifications:
- A Degree or NQF level 7 qualification in Law / Transport Management / Transport Economics or related field.
- Post-graduate qualification at NQF level 8 in Law / Transport Management / Transport Economics.
- A Post-graduate qualification at NQF level 9 will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 10 years experience in a road transport regulatory environment.
- 5 years experience at Senior Management level.
- Interaction with Regulatory Bodies or Boards will be an added advantage.
- Extensive up to date knowledge of Transport-related legislation, particularly in the SADC region
