We're on the hunt for a high-energy, dynamic, forward-thinking Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Operations:
    Plan, manage and optimise end-to-end logistics to ensure smooth, on-time product delivery.
  • Leadership:
    Lead, motivate and grow our client's logistics team from regional to national expansion – fostering a culture of collaboration and performance while pushing the boundaries
  • Supply Chain Management:
    Oversee and optimise inventory, supplier coordination, order fulfilment and distribution.
  • Process Improvement:
    Streamline transport and warehouse operations with smart, tech-driven solutions.
  • Cost & Budget Control:
    Own the numbers – manage budgets, cut costs, and improve profitability.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    Ensure high standards in safety, regulations and environmental practices.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    Track KPIs, analyse results and drive continuous improvement.
  • Customer Service Focus:
    Work closely with sales and client teams to deliver seamless service and support.

Key requirements:

  • BCom in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years' experience
    managing logistics and warehousing in food services/ food wholesale/ retail environments.
  • Distribution experience
  • FMCG / Food experience
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Confident with logistics software (e.g. WMS) and general computer software and ERP systems
  • Financial acumen – comfortable managing budgets and analysing numbers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Tech-savvy, proactive and adaptable – ready to embrace new systems and digital tools.
