Operational Director, South Africa

Job description
as below:

Strategic Execution & Process Optimization:

  • Collaborate with the CEO to define the operational vision and hiring strategy.
  • Translate corporate strategy into concrete short- and long-term plans.
  • Analyze current internal workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process enhancements for greater efficiency.

Financial Stewardship & Growth:

  • Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure the company meets investor growth and profitability targets.
  • Oversee Accounting and partner with the CEO on sales management to budget for near-term growth.
  • Utilize tracking software to monitor KPIs, creating detailed forecasts and taking corrective action where necessary.

Talent & Culture Management:

  • Oversee the full Human Resources lifecycle: recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and retention.
  • Cultivate a highly inclusive work environment that maximizes employee productivity and professional development.

Compliance & Stakeholder Relations:

  • Ensure full compliance with all national and local business regulations.
  • Build and maintain high-trust relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to support organizational stability.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Executive Experience: A minimum of 5 years in senior leadership, preferably in Ride-Hailing (Uber/Bolt/Indriver), Logistics, or Car Rental, with a proven track record of driving organizational growth with integrity and resolve.
  • Strategic & Regulatory Acumen: Deep expertise in advanced business planning and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics, with the foresight to diagnose operational bottlenecks before they escalate.
  • Decisive Leadership: A proactive leader capable of making rapid, high-stakes decisions to resolve issues quickly.
  • Language: English and French

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Capital Growth: Demonstrated experience in fundraising and investor relations.
  • Global Perspective: Previous experience managing international business operations or cross-border expansions.
