Our client, a well-established leader in the online gaming industry, is looking for a KYC Agent to join their Compliance and Finance team.

This is a critical position at the frontline of protecting both the business and its players ensuring every transaction is secure, every customer is verified, and every risk is managed in line with strict industry regulations.

This is not just about ticking boxes; as a KYC Agent, you will be directly involved in safeguarding the integrity of the platform, minimising fraud exposure, and ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of KYC and transaction monitoring within a fast-moving online gaming environment. From customer onboarding and manual verification through to suspicious activity detection and chargeback handling, you will have a hands-on role in protecting the company's operations.

You will be the link between Compliance, Payments, Fraud, and Technical teams escalating issues, resolving payment concerns, and ensuring that onboarding systems function smoothly and securely. Its a position that demands vigilance, analytical skill, and the ability to make swift, confident decisions under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Monitoring: Review and track deposit and withdrawal activity to detect irregularities, anomalies, or potential fraud.
  • Fraud Detection & Investigation: Use in-house and external monitoring tools to identify suspicious behaviour, initiate investigations, and take corrective actions to protect the business.
  • Chargeback Management: Administer chargeback processes, investigate claims, and compile supporting evidence to reduce losses.
  • Escalation Handling: Act as a key contact point for escalations from Customer Support, Player Protection, Player Engagement, and AML teams.
  • KYC & Customer Verification: Perform detailed manual KYC checks, verifying customer identification documents and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Automated Onboarding Oversight: Monitor automated systems, investigate flagged profiles in real time, and resolve discrepancies to ensure onboarding integrity.
  • Technical Escalations: Identify payment-related or PSP disruptions and escalate effectively to Technical teams for resolution.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure that all activities are properly documented, aligned with company policy, and ready for audit or regulatory review.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Payments Knowledge: Strong understanding of deposits, withdrawals, PSPs, and reconciliation processes.
  • Fraud & Risk Awareness: Experience spotting suspicious payment activity, investigating anomalies, and handling chargeback cases.
  • KYC Experience: Proven track record in customer onboarding and manual verification processes, with familiarity in AML/KYC regulatory requirements.
  • Analytical Skills: Able to interpret data, spot emerging trends, and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for errors, inconsistencies, and potential risks, ensuring nothing is missed.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and professional in both written and spoken English, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Regulatory Familiarity: Understanding of compliance frameworks within online gaming or financial services.
  • Customer Service Exposure: Background in a customer-facing role within a regulated industry is advantageous.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment where regulations and risks shift quickly.
