Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and service-driven FICA / Support Agent to join our growing operations team. This position is central to our client onboarding and verification process, ensuring that every new trading account meets strict compliance standards while providing a smooth and efficient client experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Verify and process all client onboarding documentation, including identification, proof of residence, and source-of-funds confirmations.
  • Execute FICA and KYC checks in line with South African regulations and internal compliance procedures.
  • Liaise directly with clients via email, WhatsApp, and telephone to resolve documentation issues, request missing items, and answer onboarding-related questions.
  • Support clients with account access, deposits, and platform login queries, coordinating with Account Managers where escalation is needed.
  • Maintain accurate and organised digital records of all client verification activities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Compliance and Back-Office teams to ensure that all client accounts are verified efficiently and accurately.
  • Stay informed about current regulatory updates impacting FICA and AML standards in South Africa and across the region.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a client onboarding, KYC, or compliance support role (financial services or brokerage experience highly preferred).
  • Demonstrated understanding of FICA and AML principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (proficiency in an additional African language advantageous).
  • Organised, reliable, and comfortable handling multiple verification requests daily.
  • Familiarity with trading platforms (such as MT4/MT5 or cTrader) and CRM systems is an advantage.
