About the Role

Pepper club Hotel & Spa is seeking a Pastry Comis Chef to join our award-winning kitchen brigade. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring pastry professional to grow within a luxury 5-star environment while learning from our Executive and Pastry Chefs.

As part of our pastry team, you will help prepare, produce, and present high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods while ensuring consistency, precision, and creative excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and produce pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to recipes and plating standards.
  • Maintain full mise-en-place and keep your section clean, organized, and ready for service.
  • Uphold strict hygiene, safety, and food handling standards (HACCP).
  • Collaborate closely with the pastry and kitchen team to deliver seamless service.
  • Take initiative in learning, tasting, and refining your pastry techniques.

Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Pastry or Professional Cookery (advantageous).
  • 6–12 months' experience in a professional pastry, bakery, or hotel kitchen.
  • Strong foundational pastry skills – mixing, piping, folding, glazing, and tempering.
  • Attention to detail, time management, and creative flair.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a high-performance environment.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.
