, you'll work alongside experienced chefs in a kitchen that values quality, discipline, and innovation, contributing to an elevated dining experience in one of Cape Town's most iconic settings.

What We're Looking For

  • A valid South African ID or work permit
  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
  • Formal culinary qualification or certificate (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent)
  • 1 to 2 years' experience in a fine dining or luxury hotel kitchen
  • Strong technical knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and presentation
  • Thorough understanding of hygiene, food safety, and HACCP principles
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • A strong team ethic and willingness to learn and grow
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays

What You'll Do

  • Take responsibility for the daily preparation and service within your assigned section
  • Deliver dishes of impeccable quality, presentation, and flavour in line with luxury standards
  • Prepare mise en place efficiently and maintain precision during service
  • Ensure correct stock rotation, storage, and minimal waste
  • Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene throughout your section
  • Support your Chef de Partie and colleagues in ensuring smooth and coordinated service
  • Uphold discipline, professionalism, and pride in every aspect of your work
  • Demonstrate consistency and attention to detail in every dish
