PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Electrical Assistant will provide support to Electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. This role ensures that electrical systems are functioning safely and efficiently across all facilities.

DUTIES
- Assist in the installation, repairs and maintenance of traffic signals, traffic lights, and streetlights
- Assist in the installation, repairs and maintenance of electrical enclosures and electrical meters
- Assist in the installation, repairs and maintenance of LV and MV plant and equipment
- Assist in the installation, repairs, and maintenance of transformers, switchgears, mini-substations and substations
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, controls, and lighting for residential and commercial properties
- Assist in the installation, repairs, and maintenance of solar systems for residential and commercial properties
- Assist in identifying electrical problems using testing devices
- Assist in repairing or replacing wiring, equipment or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
- Assist in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and blueprints
- Assist in maintaining a tool register and ensuring company equipment is in good working condition
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) practices
- Provide support in preparing daily reports and submitting them to the Project Coordinator or Manager

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Electrical Engineering N3 or Grade 12 (minimum)
- Two Years’ Experience as an Electrician (preferably traffic signals and traffic lights)
- Valid Police Clearance Certificate
