**Purpose of the job**:

- The Returns & Repairs Department Manager is responsible to ensure the efficient and effective management of the returns and repairs department. The Returns & Repairs Department Manager reports to the Procurement Manager- The basic duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensure the daily operations within the department.
- Manage, direct and monitor the performance of the returns and technical team.
- Maintain and improve the returns process to produce smooth and efficient system and delivery solutions.
- Effective liaison, support and assistance to various departments.
- Reporting on a monthly basis or as otherwise required.
- Manage overall inventory of return stock/stock control.
- Ensure all call out forms are completed correctly and keep a detailed record.
- Assist the technical team with technical reports and customer service.
- Adhere to SLA’s.
- Training and mentoring of staff.
- Customer queries, meetings etc. as and when required.
- General duties and ad hoc tasks, projects and requests when required**Inherent Requirements**

**Minimum Requirements**:

- South African citizen and ID, residing in Johannesburg.
- Current, valid, legal South African driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- Managerial, technical or related degree.
- Min 3-5 years returns technical experience.
- Experience in managing and leading the returns and repairs department.
- Electrical and technical knowledge is compulsory.
- Thorough understanding of inventory of returns and returns process management.
- High degree of integrity and honesty in all dealings.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Computer literate with good Excel and SYSPRO experience will be highly advantageous.
