**Purpose of the job**:

- The Returns & Repairs Department Manager is responsible to ensure the efficient and effective management of the returns and repairs department. The Returns & Repairs Department Manager reports to the Procurement Manager.**Key Competencies**:

- Managing the daily operations within the department.
- Monitoring productivity of technicians.
- Training and mentoring of staff.
- Customer technical queries, meetings etc. as and when required.
- Ensure that client relationships are maintained.
- Repairs and/or warranty queries and/or call outs.
- Monitor RMA Faulty product returns inspection and reports.
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Maintain inventory of all necessary parts.
- Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
- Manage scrapping process.
- New product testing and reports.
- On site diagnostics, fault finding and test reports.
- Assist with building maintenance where required.
- General duties and ad hoc tasks, projects and requests when required.**Inherent Requirements**

**Key Requirements**:

- Current, valid, legal South African driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- 2 years electrical, electronic or technical or BE/BTECH Engineering qualification.
- Min 3-5 years Managerial experience.
- Technically orientated.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Computer literate with good Excel and SYSPRO experience will be highly advantageous.
