Repairs Manager

Regal Security has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Repairs Manager who will manage our repairs workshop as well as all warranty, Repair and RMA (Return Merchant Authorisation)functions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 10-15 years working experience
- Must have managed an electronic repairs workshop
- Must have manged staff
- Ideally, a diploma/degree in electronic engineering
- Recognition of Prior Learning/Experience will be considered without qualification

JOB FUNCTION
- Forecast and control all stock and component requirements for repairs and ensure sufficient stock levels at all times.
- Manage staff effectively, ensuring that company and departmental policies are enforced and adhered to.
- Manage all Repairs, Warranty and RMA related accounts.
- Monitor, evaluate and improve repairs and warranty systems and processes on an on-going basis, always improving on turn-around times.
- Serve as a technical and administrative support system to both repairs and warranty departments.
- Liaison with suppliers and clients regarding product requirements, delays, problems, and repair queries.
- Attend to all repairs, warranty, and RMA related queries, ensuring efficient customer service and turn-around times.
- Ensure proper procedures are followed at branches concerning repairs and the process flow.
- Ensure all staff are familiar with the Repairs software. This includes booking in repairs, querying jobs, opening and closing a job card, updating customer details, and processing quotes.

**Repairs**
- Manage repair staff for maximum department efficiency.
- Monitor active repairs via supplier chase and shock reports.
- Supplier liaison to monitor and improve repair turn-around efficiency.
- Ensure in-house invoice repair charges are done correctly to include components and labour.
- Monitor RTS process in the workshop ensuring product return or supplier credits are processed.
- Make sure the correct dispatch and receiving procedure is followed in the repairs department.
- Ensure all documentation is filed in a logical and neat manner and is auditable.
- Ensure all POD’s are obtained for repairs and RTS documentation.
- List and manage the scrapping process.
- Record and resolve the lost items process.
- Produce reports and statistics regarding repairs/RTS.
- Produce reports and statistics monthly to management on Repairs
- Source, order and GRV all repairs components required.
- Running independent stock takes on a monthly basis and continual stock spot checks.

**RMAs (Return Merchant Authorisation)**
- List and process out going RMAs to international repair suppliers.
- Receive and process all incoming RMAs from international suppliers.
- Produce reports and statistics regarding RMAs and warranties.

**Manufacturing**
- Oversee the RAS and DVR manufacturing departments.
- Improve manufacturing efficiencies by time-in motion studies.
- Re-evaluate current suppliers to improve product lead-times, pricing and logistics.
- GRV stock into RAS/DVR and invoice/RTS to warehouse.
- Monitor and close all active KITS.
- Produce KITS for all in-house manufacturing.
- Update KITS code pricing when required.
- Co-ordinate and produce KITS for outside manufacturing companies.
- Create and maintain all related KITS codes.
- Produce reports and statistics regarding manufacturing.
- Make sure the manufacturing environment is run under the controlled conditions of the Health and Safety Act.
- Staff management and duty allocations for improved manufacturing structure.
- Maintaining production levels to support warehouse product demand.
- Forecasting product requirements in-line with lead and manufacturing times to ensure optimum stock levels at all times.
- Reporting of any product changes and or technical upgrades to the relevant management.
- Running independent stock takes on a monthly basis and continual stock spot checks.
