**Pietermaritzburg Area - KwaZulu Natal**: Our client is looking for an Operations Manager to join the team.

The field work and installations will run between Kokstad, Underberg, Midlands, North Coast (Matubatuba), South Coast, Ixopo, Harding, Harrismith

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- Mechanical/ Maintenance qualification or experience in the following would be advantageous: Extensive repair and maintenance knowledge of irrigation pumps, irrigation systems, and civils (concrete work)
- At least 4 years’ experience in managing a team hands on under intense pressure at times
- Must have a high level of energy with a positive can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for both customers and co workers
- Computer literate
- Project management system - experience with an online system of running projects
- Ability to work in a team and lead them at the same time - active listener
- The ability to make a decision is key to the level of success of this position
- Ability to analyse processes and policies to ensure they are working for the organization, and be bold to make changes if necessary.
- Must be willing to travel

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Management of conflict between company, employees and customers is key and crucial to execution.
- Balance expectations of customers and engineers
- The Ops manager would be required to make sure the correct inventory is stored in the toolboxes and vans as well as stores for quick efficient fixes.
- Be required to oversee the general administration of the department and work closely to review budgets, revenue growth, and profitability - look into servicing programs - ways to monitor customer satisfaction
- Assist with invoicing and time sheets
- Training division - develop this - Suppliers, more product knowledge, infield experience
- Communication - train team on communication within company as well as with clients - area to improve
- Report to Management on a weekly basis
- Get daily reports from technicians on work done and feedback to engineers/customers and update relevant systems
- Schedule the workflow between workshop, technicians, customers and engineers - site installations, pump repairs, pivot erections, Repairs and services - work needs to be done while maintaining work quality and cost effectiveness.
- Health and Safety to be maintained at all times
- Vehicle management of fleet for staff in division
- Ops Manager will work with the Project team in finding right method of execution of project and timeline and communicate this with engineer
