- **PURPOSE OF THE POSITION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**_

The purpose of this position is to manage the region in support of the Executive Officer - Legal Division’s strategic requirements and to ensure all branches; Specialist Departments and Express branches in the region are managed in a consistent manner and in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of the Company.

**Management of Branches and Departments**
- To personally manage home branch as branch manager (when applicable and

appropriate).
- Effectively monitor branch activity levels within the region in respect of

customer service, branch administration and claims management while

conducting branch inspections and quality audits as and when required.

**People Management & Employee Relations & Career Development**
- Effectively manage all staff issues including talent management, performance

management; discipline, staff development, career pathing/succession

planning, training and development; etc.

**Financial Management**
- Develop, monitor and manage regional budgets including but not limited to;
monitoring of expenses and identifying areas of possible abuse/ fraud.

**Organisational Development**
- Identifying opportunities for growth in the region focusing on the opening and

closing of branches where appropriate and all that it entails including lease

negotiations, etc.
- Review procedures, systems and processes in branches making

recommendations for improvement and implementation
- Maintain and improve region’s operations by monitoring your branches’

performance; identify areas of improvement and training gaps on staff

performance; prepare and submit action plans; ensure implementation of action

plans;
- Draw, prepare and analyse daily, weekly and monthly reports from branches

and other sources;
**Relationship Management**
- Monitor and maintain high quality customer service levels, compliance

to service standards culminating into high productivity levels by

legal advisors;
- Audit and assess routine case files. Ensuring that correct legal advice and

assistance is being given to clients and that files are being administered

correctly and timeously to ensure prompt quality service to members;
- Foster and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders and members.
- Establish good working relations with the panel of attorneys and external

stakeholders

**Marketing and Project**

**Management**
- Development and implementation of ad hoc projects and action plans

**Setting Targets and Reporting**
- Assist branches with target setting and compile weekly and monthly reports.
- **MINIMUM CRITERIA AND PRE-REQUISITE COMPETENCIES**_

**Education**
- Completed Legal Degree
- Management qualification is advantageous.

**Experience**
- At least 4 - 7 years extensivemanagement experience with a proven track record

essential.
- Extensive Human Capital and IR experience.
- Intermediate experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in management of large and diverse teams.
- Management experience at senior level is advantageous.
