WATER AND SANITATION Fleet Asset and Rental Manager
**Requirements**:

- BSc/ BTech/ Advance Diploma/ B Eng degree in Mechanical

Engineering, Fleet Management, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in Master data:
Asset Management, Rental and rate calculations in fleet
management and mechanical works in relevant industry
- Strong working knowledge of CMMS (computerised maintenance

management system) like SAP PM - SAP MM
- Strong problem-solving abilities, and solid knowledge of fleet

management software and mechanical systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability

to interact with diverse stakeholders
- A valid Code EB (08) driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas
- Leads, directs and manages the implementation of the water

services fleet strategy as well as ensure the continual revision
thereof, ensuring alignment between policy, strategy and
business plans
- Ensure that all fleet activities are conducted in compliance with

the relevant legislation (occupational health and safety act, road
transport legislation and the road transport quality system), city
policies and relevant strategies
- Development, implementation and ongoing refinement of service

level agreements with clients of water services fleet
- Ensure that the fleet assets belonging to water and sanitation are

managed cost effectively and efficiently
- Ensure a proper processes and systems for the correct

reflection of each fleet life cycle asset status
- Ensure appropriate, financial management, funding, budgetary

provisions and control procedures are in place
- Develop and implement strategies for the effective management

of our vehicle fleet, including maintenance schedules, repairs,
and replacements to determine useful life
- Track and analyse performance metrics, using data to drive

improvements and ensure the reliability of fleet management
and workshop assets
