Our client is an established real estate services business with operations across the country. Representing both landlords and tenants, they offer a wide range of commercial real estate services, including Property and Facilities management for both private and listed clients. An exciting opportunity in their Cape Town based team has become available and they are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Commercial Portfolio Manager to join their business. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will take full responsibility for the effective management of the allocated portfolio of commercial properties situated within the Western Cape region. This will include attending to lease negotiations for renewals and new leases, preparation of annual budgets, updating monthly working budget projections, attending to site meetings and managing the performance of support staff which will include Property, Creditors and debtors’ administrators.

To qualify for this position, you will need to have a tertiary degree in finance, business, property studies or related fields and at least 3-4 years’ experience in property management looking after multi-site commercial or retail property portfolios. You will also need to have a valid driver’s license and your own reliable transport. A solid financial understanding, high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be imperative to succeed in this position.
