MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Must speak, read, write, and understand English at a professional level Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)

EXPERIENCE:

- 3-5 year’s working experience in tourism or marketing industries
- Opera knowledge (or similar PMS) (advantageous)
- Microsoft Suite
- Google apps (advantageous)
- Meta apps (advantageous)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Knowledge
- Property Knowledge of all Client products and brands, with special focus on:

- Client Hotels
- Client Serviced Places
- Client Branded Products
- Clear understanding of Group Brand Architecture
- Policies and Procedures
- Superior product knowledge is vital.
- Product knowledge is a responsibility not a function.
- Understanding of target audiences for different properties, brands, and campaigns, with special focus on:

- Airbnb
- Serviced Apartments
- Branded products - Pet Places etc

Customer Service
- Assist with general enquiries with a “can do” attitude
- Maintain relationships to ensure top of mind awareness
- Exceptional customer care and service delivery
- Problem solving abilities and abilities to manage customer issues
- Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaints
- Clear understanding of customer facing departments

Product and Offering Development
- Support the creative thinking on development of new products and offerings;
- Play a key role in the implementation and activation of new products and offerings, including:

- Work with the design and web development team to create immersive campaigns.
- Assist with compiling of task lists for implementation of new products or promotions.
- Follow up and check-in with on-site operations teams.
- Report back on status, problems, and suggestions
- Online brand audits for relevance and accuracy

Sales and Reservations
- Promote and Sell the Client products and services using up-selling and suggestive selling techniques.
- Processing of reservations
- Follow ups on enquiries and leads.
- Liaise with on-site operations teams.
- Compiling quotations and invoices accurately
- Assist with booking of additional services, including spa treatments, restaurant reservations and golf bookings - details to appear on correspondence and PMS accurately.
- Record special billing arrangements for reservations in all business segments.
- All reservation details: special requests, arrival times, value adds etc to appear on correspondence accurately and in PMS - properties to be aware of guest’s special requests to meet and exceed guests’ expectations.
- All Client standard operating procedures and policies to be followed and adhered to

Administration
- Maintain sales records across all marketing efforts:

- Keeping record of success rate, revenue achieved and notes for future reference.
- Researching, creating, and maintaining pro-active client lists and databases.
- Maintain client databases:

- Importing of manual databases
- Creating databases through research
- Updating databases periodically
- Control and record keeping of related sales activities.

Reporting
- Capture and process data to compile reports on sales, historic revenue, and campaign performance.

Marketing
- Brainstorm marketing campaigns for all properties;
- Create job bags for marketing and production team, providing all sales information accurately

Other
- Able to work shifts - according to operational requirements (up to 2 Saturdays per month);
- Maintenance and administration of servers and files
