Our client in Camps Bay, Western Cape, South Africa is looking for a Social Media Coordinator.

**Requirements**:
QUALIFICATION: Diploma/ Degree in Marketing/Communications/Brand Management or relevant.

EXPERIENCE: At Least 2 years+ experience in similar role, in marketing, advertising and/or digital marketing.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Primary responsibilities (Including but not limited to)**:
General:

- Research current trends and audience preferences in order to create relevant content
- Facilitate and engage in online conversations with customers٫ including responding to queries or questions from clients
- Measure٫ record٫ and monitor SEO
- Facilitate training on proficient social media use for co-workers
- Develop and implement an optimal posting schedule٫ taking into consideration metrics and customer engagement
- Suggest and research new ways to attract or engage customers٫ including promotions٫ contests٫ or other methods

Day to day tasks:

- Ongoing content management and coordination.
- Assess the various platforms - social media pages and websites.
- Propose ideas and plans for content for the various platforms on an ongoing basis.
- Liaise with various departments to gather content and design elements to carry out the content plan.
- Implement, monitor and maintain content plans.
- Pull reports and obtain community insights and trends, in order to develop strategic content.
- Understanding the digital channel mix and knowing what content is suitable for which channels.
- Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns.
- Reporting on campaigns and competitor activity.
- Idea generation.
- Maintain an active knowledge of industry and digital marketing trends.
- Expert in the main social media tools and channels with a cutting-edge interest in new trends and releases.
- Assist digital marketing manager with reporting, events, production/ content shoot planning, influencer management and other adhoc tasks from time to time
