Job Description:
You will be joining the RPP Business Support Department reporting to the Head of Real Time Payments. This role is responsible for driving the ongoing evolution of the Rapid Payments Programme scheme rule book which entails collaborating with participants to set applicable scheme rules. This includes monitoring rule adherence by all participants and resolving rule violations with or between the Scheme Operator and participants or between participants themselves for the Rapid Payments Programme. You will further be accountable for organising and chairing all industry modernisation forums, compliance forums and project forums for RPP enhancements and releases.

Good communication skills and solid technology knowledge are required to ensure all rules are appropriate and to ensure secure and efficient payment processing and data management can be achieved in the ecosystem. Excellent people management capabilities are also needed in this role.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Align with Real Time Head on Scheme rule management for new and existing products and services and continued enhancement
- Manage and publish RPP scheme rules
- Conduct scheme compliance evaluations and produce scheme compliance reports to participants
- Ensure an effective communication between the business departments and the Technology ones
- Communicate relevant scheme updates to internal business partners and customers timeously with sufficient notice to enable any required changes and testing to assure compliance
- Review and advise on operational challenges with regards to scheme compliance
- Interpret and clarify scheme rules with Operator and participants where required
- Manage all scheme queries logged through various channels and where necessary distribute to the appropriate forums
- Manage all dispute processes between parties, report and/or escalate to PASA where necessary, ensure advancement to arbitration where necessary.
- Report all scheme violations to Audit, Compliance and Legal channels where required.
- Report relevant consumer impact items to Financial Services Conduct Authority where necessary. Keep open communication with FSCA.
- Conduct recurring and ad hoc training sessions to educate internal teams about the relevant scheme updates, to strengthen scheme knowledge and education across the global business
- Oversee critical scheme projects

**QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE**
- Relevant B degree
- Familiar with global payments and the surrounding ecosystem
- Strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities
- Strong negotiating skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

**EXPERIENCE**
- 5+ years of experience with payment systems or operators
- Minimum 3 years experience in a people management position
- Familiar with global payments and the surrounding ecosystem
- Working knowledge of strict compliance environments
- Ability to translate strategic objectives into initiatives
- Ability to calculate and translate risk into actionable mitigating actions
- Strong ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Experience mentoring and leading teams of professional employees
- Excellent management skills, and experience with delegating tasks
