**Key responsibilities include**:

- Reports to Resident Engineer
- Assist the N8 Project Management Team (Client - Consultant) with day-to-day liaison with the communities affected by the project.
- Assist in resolving community related issues and facilitating community buy-in for the project.
- Maintain and manage the as-built information.

**The main job outputs for the assigned responsibilities are as follows**:
Oversee day to day operations, including managing labour, equipment, and materials to ensure the efficient progress of construction projects.
- Perform work as directed by their supervisor.
- Behave politely and professionally.
- Follow all legal instructions and directives (e.g., dress codes, health, and safety procedure)
- Assist RE with the preparations of the reports.
- Secure confirmed arrangements and schedules for any required public participation meetings in the affected local community wards.
- Undertake the secretariat function to the PLC or any meeting required by the RE
- Attend any other meetings related to the project and in which any of the project Stakeholders, affected.
- Communities, Targeted Labour, and Targeted Enterprises are involved.
- Provide input and advice on the procurement process, especially CPG sub-contracting.

**Minimum required qualification**:

- Diploma in Engineering Technology in Civil Engineering

***Minimum experience, knowledge & skills**:

- Computer literacy is a prerequisite.
- Must be able to facilitate meetings and undertake project stakeholder liaison (authorities and community)
- Relevant project management and community participation experience will be an advantage.
- Report Writing skills.
- Previous exposure to the construction industry is preferrable.
- Should be fluent in South Sotho.

**Behavioral competencies**:

- Must be able to relate to stakeholder’s and the community.
- Must have good interpersonal and effective communication skills (both oral and written)
- Ability to plan and organize appointed tasks.
- A passion for continuous learning
