We are building an enabling community-based ecosystem to better help people with self-management of their chronic conditions and other health needs while helping them navigate quality in-person healthcare when face-to-face care is needed. We focus on personalized care. Over the next few months, we will grow quickly with key projects requiring a deep focus and the discipline, rigor and humility to test alongside our customers, iterate and scale. **The position**:
This is a full-time remote position for 3 months. In this role, the Health Content Writer Intern will be situated withing the clinical team and will support the development of material for members and external stakeholders for various channels. The writer intern will also support departments such as oncology and women's wellness on developing data-backed blog material and articles. He/she will also support the research teem on the finetuning of peer-reviewed articles for submission.

We are looking for a dedicated health copywriter to produce creative content to help sell our services and products across our different pillars. The health writer’s duties include researching medical data from reliable sources, extracting the relevant information, and writing articles that are coherent and on-brand.

To be successful as a health writer intern with mDoc, you should be able to understand complex scientific data and present it in a way that optimizes readership and encourages members and potential members to take action. You should ensure evidence-based comprehensive and contextualized research based on high-authority sources, write with creative flair, and adhere to medical ethics.
Health content writer intern responsibilities:

- Reading clinical data reports from high-authority sources, analyzing the data, and extracting the relevant information.
- Combining scientific knowledge with excellent writing skills for medical marketing campaigns.
- Producing copy on websites, flyers, the app, SMS, USSD, blogs, and other social media platforms that connect with our members and the public.
- Converting complex technical information into well-crafted articles that can be understood by the layperson.
- Developing a robust advertising campaign targeted at your intended audience.
- Writing in an interesting way to prompt the reader to take action.
- Upholding ethical medical principles, including patient confidentiality.
- Generating content using SEO skills in order to optimize search results.

**Requirements**:

- An MBBS, Nursing BSc or BSc in life sciences or a bachelor's degree in English or journalism or a related field.
- Certification as a medical writer preferred.
- The ability to use charts and graphs and to conduct research across a range of specialized databases.
- Knowledge of SEO and keyword research.
- Excellent writing skills and proven medical copywriting experience.
- The ability to analyze data, extract salient information, and present it in a fresh way.
- Excellent time-management and multi-tasking skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively.
- Strong research and communication skills.
