We are looking for an experienced Receiving Manager to join our client's team You should have a minimum of 3 years of working experience in a management role, with experience in material handling, preferably in the FMCG industry. Experience in a service environment would be advantageous. You should have a good working knowledge of Word & Excel, WMS, and SAP (advantage) and in addition, also be able to manage staff effectively.
You will be responsible for recording all relevant data, such as cases, vehicles, pallets, damages, extras, and containers per client. Other responsibilities include conducting vehicle inspections, verifying documentation, product quantities, and quality, and signing off. You will ensure that all pallets are in good condition. Additionally, you will notify all sending depots or clients with regards to short, extra, or damaged goods loaded within 24hrs.
As the Receiving Manager, you will also ensure blind checks are done with security and correctly updated into WMS. You will also control the receiving cage efficiently and ensure putaways are done timeously.
You will also be responsible for updating all required spreadsheets and submitting to management all information requested for Key Performance Indicators. Finally, you will maintain the standard of housekeeping in your area.
