Our client is recruiting for an experienced Receiving Yard Manager to join their team in Gugulethu stores. Job Purpose Oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch to the department of a wide variety of products ensuring all receiving processes are running smoothly and optimally. Supervision of staff where applicable. **Responsibilities**: Maintain the receiving and distribution operation by enforcing and coordination the operational procedure Liaise with designated retail store person regarding timeous and effective deliveries Liaise with suppliers with regards to timeous and effective deliveries Check all stock received and control the stock in the receiving area Safeguard the receiving operations and contends by enforcing and monitoring security procedures and protocols Control the inventory levels with physical stock counts Timeous dispatch and deliveries of stock to the departments Maintain the physical condition of the receiving department, vehicles, and equipment All stock to be received accurately and securely Check and ensure that all stock received is in good quality Make sure that all receiving documentation is completed neatly, accurately, and completely All quantities/weights of stock received corresponds with the delivery notes All quality (including damages) and quantity discrepancies are resolved Always adhere to the claims procedure Overall maintenance of the warehouse, equipment, and vehicles Handle all incidents related to health, safety, and security **Skills required**: Honest and trustworthy Ability to identify and solve problems Take initiative Communication skills Accurate with figures Interpersonal skills Attention to detail Good people management skills Be able to delegate effectively Be able to operate independently and as part of a team Good administration skills Must have forklift experience if not valid forklift license **Qualification**: Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics Approx 3 years' receiving experience **Salary**: Market related **Working Hours**: Monday to Sunday - Shifts ( O perational needs)
