DISPATCH TEAM LEADER - WEST RAND - R12000 to R15000 - FMCG CO

Our client is currently seeking the skills and expertise of a vibrant and energetic Team Leader (Dispatch Department) to assist with the day-to-day oversight of departmental activities and functions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

- Assist the Manager/Supervisor in the coordination of the daily activities of the department
- Assist with planning and scheduling of department functions/responsibilities.
- Ensure all administrative processes are followed according to required procedures
- Assist with reports and other information to prioritise work.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and processes, such as customer sales, order management and accounting.
- Ensure that any stock movements are recorded accurately.
- Assist with the day-to-day management of staff including leave management, daily time and attendance, scheduling workload for the team and discipline within the department.
- Ensure staff comply with health, safety and environmental regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements, skills and attributes:

- Grade 12/Matric equivalent
- Related degree (preference will be given to degreed individuals)
- Team leader experience highly beneficial
- Proven track record of taking the lead in a Warehouse/similar environment
- Ability to develop direct reports
- Problem solving ability and attention to detail
- A team player with a positive attitude towards work and staff engagement
- Be calm, level-headed, and be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office Package) SAP, QWIX.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
