We’re looking for a results-driven Sales Representative with excellent interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage client prospects for a growing Structural Steel company.

**LOCATION**: Scottburgh, South Coast KZN

**REMUNERATION**: Basic salary negotiable based on experience, plus commission, fuel allowance and cell phone allowance

**AVAILABILITY**: Immediately

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for client accounts, handle client enquiries in a timely manner through a commercial approach: visiting clients, getting involved in an early stage of new projects, establishing long-term relationships and advising clients.
- Assist in tender processing through coordination with estimator, internal resources and use of pricing matrix.
- Responsible for generating of sales aggressively, to build a strong pipeline and accurately forecast sales.
- Support Management with forecasting information on the status of client activity and future opportunities.
- Responsible for liaising with the fabrication team regarding production and follow up of project deadlines.
- Strengthening existing client relationships and developing new potential ones through cold calling.
- Marketing analysis: to monitor and evaluate competitors.
- Determine niche marketing opportunities
- Responsible for checking on the status of payments and liaising with accounts as well as keeping management updated on an on-going basis.
- Responsible for updating the sales database, preparing sales reports as required by the management.

**REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS**
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Own vehicle with valid Drivers’ License
- 5-10 years of sales experience
- A diploma in sales or a similar qualification would be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication (preferred)
- Knowledge in the building and construction industry is preferred but not required
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Familiarity with CRM practices along with ability to build productive business relationships
- Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
