This position will be based on site in Durban

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**
- Document Control function includes the role of maintaining project documents.
- Ensuring accurate information is distributed throughout the organization, on time, to the people who need it.
- Responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of documents.
- Role included the control of the numbering, sorting, filing, storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents produced by technical teams, projects or departments all in accordance with Channel Construction’s ISO 9000:2015 Accredited Quality Management System as well as Channel Construction’s ISO 9000:3834 Part 2 Accredited Welding Services Management System.
- Served as the Key distributor and controller of drawing submissions and transmittals, between workshop floor and project management team.
- Facilitation of a culture of correct system filing procedures - Document storage systems for projects should be uniform.
- Providing Project Administration duties to the extended project team assisting the Project Manager.
- Create and track submittals and requests for information
- Record, organize and search for project-related correspondence, including Word, Excel, and Outlook items
- Organize a database of project materials/deliverables/documentation for easy retrieval
- Design and create customized logs to track other project information
- Handle, file and archive correspondence and documents
- Provide Orientation all new staff to the Channel Construction documentation system, procedures and work instructions.
- Document register upkeep
- Drawing Register upkeep, Workshop Floor Drawing Upkeep
- Electronic Project Folders upkeep
- Compiling Databooks with Quality Representative
- Drafting and Legal writing of reports, Letters, Compensation Events, Early warnings under the supervision of the Project Manager and Discipline heads

- Document management systems: 3 years (required)
