Our client offers a wide range of logístical services and specializes in the local transportation of containers to all South African ports. They are looking for a highly motivated and experienced **Logistics Coordinator** to join their team in their **Northern Suburbs** office.

**Responsibilities**:
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

- Executing contract terms and conditions
- Stock control
- Quality control
- Managing and executing import/export documents and requirements
- Negotiating rates with transporters
- Developing relationships with transporters and clients
- Compiling transport contracts using templates
- Following up trucks to determine accurate ETA
- Communicating with clients to keep them informed about the status of the cargo
- Building good relationships with loading and off-loading points and identifying key role players at loading and off-loading points
- Daily administration function - feed all load data into computer database; reconciliation of PODs and loading weights
- Collecting of PODs
- Weekly planning of truck movements and stock delivery
- Handling client, transport and supplier-related queries
- After-hours contact with all relevant parties, 7 days a week

**Qualifications**:

- A tertiary qualification in Logistics/Logistics Management
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
- Knowledge of the transport market
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Analytical ability
- Good attention to detail
- Willingness to be available for cell phone queries and problem-solving after office hours
- Negotiating skills

**Remuneration**:
The remuneration package will be commensurate with experience and will include an industry-related basic salary, company pension fund contribution, and other benefits.
