- Reporting directly to the Managing Director- PURPOSE:
- The purpose of the SHEQ manager is to manage safety, health, environment and quality policies, standards and procedures and ensure that the Company complies with legal and industry standards requirements.- COMPETENCY/REQUIREMENT:
- Qualification in safety, technical or similar diploma or degree.- Minimum 5 years exposure to manufacturing, chemical manufacturing- Transportation of hazardous goods exposure will be a distinct advantage.- In-depth knowledge of OSH Act, ISO 9001, ISO 18000 (4500) and ISO 14000.-
- SHEQ Management Systems- SHEQ Legislation and Regulations- Auditing- Training- Project Management- No reportees- PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION:
- Registered with recognised safety professional body at least at Technical / Practitioner level.-
**Inherent Requirements**
- COMPETENCY/REQUIREMENT:
- Qualification in safety, technical or similar diploma or degree.- Minimum 5 years exposure to manufacturing, chemical manufacturing- Transportation of hazardous goods exposure will be a distinct advantage.- In-depth knowledge of OSH Act, ISO 9001, ISO 18000 (4500) and ISO 14000.-
- SHEQ Management Systems- SHEQ Legislation and Regulations- Able to operate independently, and at senior level in the Management team- Auditing- Training- Project Management- Assertive, able to interact with all departments, in particular Engineering- PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION:
- Registered with recognised safety professional body at least at Technical / Practitioner level.**What Qualification**
- Qualification in safety, technical or similar diploma or degree.
