**About the Role**:
Our Sales organization is looking for a Contract and Tender Specialist to join the dynamic team, based in Pinetown, South Africa on a **Fixed Term Contract **. We are looking for someone who possess strong tender and contract management experience within the Medical Device industry within both Private and State Hospital and dealing with the Department of Health at provincial and National level.

The incumbent will be responsible for the full end-to-end contract and tender process. Including, but not limited to the tender preparation, documentation administration and submission. This role reports directly to the PARA, Contract and Tender Manager.

**What You Will Do**:

- Create price files for new tenders, analyze and execute pricing strategies;
- Accurate completing of tender returnable documents from start to finish/submission;
- Identify and control a list of all major tenders including publication dates, submission due dates and expected award dates etc;
- Lead pricing meetings to discuss pricing strategies, competitor information and profit margins for each tender;
- Direct involvement with DTI for local content exemption and calculation;
- Tender samples coordination and execution adhering to strict deadlines;
- Monitor and control the correct completion, capture and cancellation/extension of special pricing agreements onto SAP system. Monitor and distribute the monthly pricing expiry report and follow up on pricing queries that need to be actioned;
- Maintain a database of Private & Government contact lists
- Monitor submitted tenders and the subsequent awards;
- Circulate internal and external Tender information where applicable;
- Satisfying standard Tender requirements such as SABS Certificates, representative samples and Other special Tender requirements specified in the Tender documents;
- Ensuring that all statutory requirements are valid at all times, eg. Tax certificates, BEE certificates;
- Interface with appointed HDI distributors to co-ordinate pricing meetings and ensure timeous and correct document and samples submitted;
- Issue Tender award documents and assess hit rates and market shares against tenders submitted;
- Set up systems and procedures for the smooth and efficient running of Tenders and pricing systems;
- Monitor tender websites for insights and opportunities.

**Who You Are**:

- Minimum of 3 years' experience end-to-end tender and contract management in Private and State Hospital in medical device industry at both National and Provincial level;
- Must have experience in statutory requirements for both tender and contract process management;
- Excellent computer literacy skills, proficient in Microsoft package (especially Excel). Experience working on SAP, Tendersure /Sentigol, CSD, Etenders and Power BI will be an advantage;
- Must be innovative, analytical, influential, insightful, courageous and decisive;
- Must be an excellent communicator at all levels (read, write and speak) fluent in English;
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to drive performance and processes forward adhering to strict deadlines;
- Must be a self-leader, organized and collaborative in work across functional teams.
