An **Electrical Company **based in Durban is currently looking for a **Procurement Specialist **to join their team.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Managing of current and new supply contracts
- Tendering on supply contracts
- Contract pricing updates
- Procure and fulfill orders as per contract requirements
- Forecast and manage stock holding for supply contracts
- Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods
- Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply.
- Build, maintain and manage new and existing supplier relationships and keep up good communications
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
- Develop collaborative working relationship between sales, stores and administration
- Prepare reports and updates as and when required
- Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements
**Experience and Skills Required**
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management or 4 years working experience in a Procurement role within a similar industry
- Previous experience Pricing tenders and managing Supply Contracts
- Previous experience of working within an electrical industry
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Deadline driven
- Relationship building and management skills
- In depth understanding and knowledge of the industry
- Competence in using Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to R25,000.00 per month
