Snr Manager: IT Sourcing

**JOB OVERVIEW**:
Responsible for execution and effective management of the IT Sourcing strategy, contracts and performance management of the service providers to maximise procurement value contribution, in line with the Group Procurement Policy and aligned to the corporate's objectives.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Leads IT sourcing business case development
- Provides supply market, leading practice and expert input and quality assurance during the IT sourcing business case development stage

Responsible for the development and execution of the IT sourcing category strategy
- Responsible for the development of the IT sourcing category strategy, supported by the Head of Procurement.
- Leads the development and execution of the Go-To-Market and negotiation strategy.
- Develops the sourcing risk assessments.
- Measures practices against best-in-class benchmarks to ensure that the strategy remains relevant.
- Works closely with business owners to ensure alignment to budget and IT requirements, technology strategy, overall corporate strategy and leading practice.
- Leads identification of potential strategic partners and fact based negotiations for IT sourcing.
- Manages the strategy implementation and sourcing execution against the established measures and controls in alignment with the overall KPI framework.
- Spend under management ~R1 Billion Per Annum and deal sizes likely to be worth R60 Million#R3 Billion.

Manages internal customer relationships
- Manages internal customer feedback and query resolution on outsource partner performance.
- Administers periodic surveys to measure customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Improves and reinforces procurement's image within the internal customer community.
- Acts as a source of expert market knowledge, insight and advice to customers.

Execution excellence
- Develops, maintains and embeds IT sourcing best practice.
- Benchmarks performance internally and externally to develop and maintain leadership position.
- Initiates and manages productivity improvements within the IT sourcing category

Manages IT supplier relationships and contracts.
- Continuously tracks and reports supplier performance, compliance and supplier relationship value against Service Level Agreements and budgets.
- In collaboration with the Compliance and Risk team, assesses and defines the risk management plan and mitigation actions
- Is responsible for supplier relationship management and performance management.
- Executes supplier development activities.
- Identifies and recommends supplier innovations and manages implementation
- Monitors and drives internal customers contract compliance; defines and takes approved corrective actions to improve contract compliance.

Manages contract compliance and payment terms as per company policies
- Closely monitors contract compliance and flags areas of non-compliance for corrective action.
- Identifies methods for optimising user compliance and customer satisfaction.

Manages people performance and development
- Manages the performance, development and implementation of team learning and growth plans, and provides coaching and mentoring to ensure.

- Provides comprehensive advice, insights, guidance and service on best practice procurement.
- Ensures team members acquire necessary skills and performance attributes, in line with operations and personal development needs.

**REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION**

A CIPS level 6 or MBA will be an advantage.

**QUALIFICATION**

3 year degree/ diploma (NQF level 6) preferably in Supply Chain or Business/ Commerce/ IT or other related field or CIPS level 5

**EXPERIENCE**

7 years relevant experience of which at least 3 years in IT Category Management/ Strategic Sourcing with a minimum of 2 years on a management level.

Must have a good understanding of the IT and Managed Services industry, market and trends.

Expert knowledge of IT and Managed Services sourcing and contract management.

Knowledge of the Preferential Procurement Framework Act, NDP, NIPC, ICT sector guides and B-BBEE codes.

Knowledge and experience in medium to complex negotiations, contracts management, strategic cost management.

Experience in successful business case development for IT Sourcing.

Experience in building and managing supplier relationship according to contract and plans.

Must have a track record of building and managing long term internal and external business relationships.
