JOB TITLE : Senior Specialist – SAP Power User

LOCATION : Johannesburg

REPORTS TO : Director, Technical Platform Support and Reporting

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced SAP ECC power use to provide expert user support, training, governance, and change management across our supply chain technology platforms. This role acts as a critical link between business operations and digital technology, ensuring seamless system functionality and continuous improvement.

WORK ACCOUNTABILITIES

User Support & Incident Management

• Manage user incidents and requests through to resolution, ensuring service delivery and operational continuity.

Business–Technology Interface

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the digital technology team to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.

Access & Governance

• Oversee system access provisioning and monitoring to ensure compliance with governance frameworks (e.g., SOX, GIA).

Data Quality & Reporting

• Maintain data integrity, support data extracts, and produce monthly and quarterly reports for incident management and system usage.

Testing & Change Management

• Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) and lead change management activities for new system functionality.

Training & Continuous Improvement

• Coach and train end users while identifying opportunities for process and technology enhancements.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Technical Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• 7-10 years' experience in supply chain technology
• 7-10 years' experience in the supply chain department of a large scale mining company
• Strong knowledge of source-to-pay, logistics, inventory, and governance workflows.
• Proven SAP ECC and Ariba expertise with advanced analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Proven expertise in Excel, SQL and Power BI
• Strong knowledge of SOX governance frameworks

Education & Qualifications

• Degree in Technical or Commerce field
• SAP ECC (MM preferred) certification is critical
• SAP Ariba certification preferred
