Procurement Manager

**PROCUREMENT MANAGER : PACKAGING - JOHANNESBURG - R65000 to R100000**

The Right Company are currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager: Packaging for a large FMCG company. You will be responsible for developing and executing the sourcing strategy for your respective category and ensure delivery of best procurement value and mitigation of supply risks. You will establish a distinctive competency and understanding of the category and the Company’s business needs and continuously identify new procurement value opportunities in line with the Category Strategy. You will deliver cost savings projects focused on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization whilst ensuring a healthy relationship with suppliers and business. You will manage a team of sourcing specialists and be accountable for a commodity spend of R 400m -R 1bil based on assigned category.
- Manage material sourcing and any matters related to packaging material sourcing
- Manage and coordinate packaging related supply matters incl. BBBEE, EPR, carbon tax, etc.
- Develop and implement approved sourcing strategies in alignment with the overall long-term Category strategy
- Integrate into business-wide operational and commercial strategy to support business units
- Identify value opportunities for TCO optimization and manage procurement cost savings/continuous improvement projects
- Lead strategic sourcing projects and the Company’s RFI/Q processes ensuring a facts-based negotiation approach to strengthen the Company’s position and generate best value
- Provide the business with cost estimates for budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
- Support business units in managing business P&L through pricing and budgeting.
- Create and implement best practice purchasing strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance
- Provide support through objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, delivery targets, and overall value.

Experience
- Function-5-10 years’ experience procurement
- Industry-Extensive Experience in FMCG industry, and Packaging Procurement (Advantageous)

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead Cross-functional project management for supplier switching and onboarding
- Assist with managing the supply challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
- Implement and maintain appropriate contract management
- Lead packaging Market insights, industry knowledge base and new supplier development
- Supplier performance management including managing pricing negotiations
- Develop business continuity contingencies for packaging materials and strategies to minimize supply risk
- Ensure appropriate strategies and mechanisms are in place for GRC / Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Compile procurement mandates and motivations for approval of contract awards to Exco level

**Salary**: R65,000.00 - R100,000.00 per month
