Regional Sales Manager

**_Position Overview:_**
Oversee and manage a sales region, ensuring unit achievement together with highly efficient operations and exceptional customer service levels both pre
- and post-sale. Overall responsibility for the achievement of the region’s sales and operational targets (which include agreed strategic objectives such as OUTsurance, Netstar, Social media reviews, stock age, stock turn, repairs, inventory management and Dekra “Golden Sticker” / “Ready to Go”. Responsible for the resourcing, staffing, and training of a branch’s team.
**_ Key Responsibilities:_**
**_ _**_Sales:_**
- Track and measure sales performance against targets daily in respect of units and ancillary products. Pro-actively implement corrective action where targets are missed.
- Manage floor layout and presentation within agreed standards of excellence.
- Manage all escalated customers enquiries / concerns to ensure and promote excellent customer service.
- Ensure that the region’s branches achieve their monthly sales targets stipulated by the company.
- Manage sales leads.
- Manage outstanding debtors and sold yards within agreed business rules.
- Ensure daily production meetings are scheduled and attended daily and reserved vehicles managed within agreed parameters.
***_Human Resources:_**
- Oversee monthly roster (blue and orange teams) for all sales staff, at least a week before the next month, to ensure sufficient staff on peak trading hours.
- Review sales team headcount continuously within agreed parameters.
- Weekly sales and operations meetings with branch management
- Weekly sales and operations meetings with National Sales Manager and National Operations Manager to provide feedback on KPI’s.
- Attend weekly branch sales meetings.
- Documented one-on-one sessions with Branch Mangers & Operations Managers
- Managing bottom performers in line with “Project Excellence”.
- Overview all sales management commission sheets before payroll deadlines.
- Leave planning at the beginning of the year for the whole year.
**_Sales Training:_**
- Complete the “Train the Trainer” course on LinkedIn Learning or via the National Sales Training Manager and implement the knowledge to become proficient at training senior sales management.
- Present at least one training course per month to your team.
- Continuous coaching and mentoring, covering all aspects leading to a sale. (SLMS management, receiving of customers, test drive, calling leads, handling a complaint, floor layout, price cards, stock age, stock turn).
**_ Housekeeping:_**
- Review the floor layout, vehicle movement, price cards and vehicle cleaning.
- Check at least 10 price cards per day for accuracy, neatness, and correct vehicle statuses.
- Evaluate and action price recommendations for at least 100 vehicles per week.
- Manage ageing stock within business guidelines as updated from time to time.
- Review accuracy of stock takes daily.
- Manage reserved vehicles (attend daily production meetings randomly in coordination with Regional F&I Managers).
- Ensuring that vehicles on promotion auction are presented in line with the company guidelines (i.e. balloons, promo stickers, etc.).
- Ensure customer receive excellent after sales care.

**_ Requirements:_**
- Minimum Grade 12.
- A minimum of 5 year's management experience in the motor industry.
- A relevant management qualification will be beneficial.
