Job Introduction
**HR Officer**
Reporting to the Head: Human Resources Management, the Human Resources Officer provides generalist Human Resources support services within the region, in compliance with legislation and Company policies and procedures.
The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which support plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

- Effective performance of Labour relations function in relation to disciplinary matter
- Competent representation of the company in dismissal disputes referred to the CCMA for Conciliation and Arbitration
- To effectively preside all disciplinary hearings within the region and ensure that all matters are dealt with consistently and that the guidelines as set out in the LRA as well as the company disciplinary procedure is applied
- Maintain accurate disciplinary dockets and records of proceedings
- Liaise with HRBP over matters requiring input and guidance
- Effectively manage diary and calendar to meet SLA timeframes
- Ensure compliance with Company policy and ensure effective reporting
- Ensure employees are aware of the company rules and regulations
- Compile reports on statistics and trends for Management
- Keep an active case register (CCMA, discipline and Labour Court)
- Effective performance of HR recruitment administration and functions
- Effective and efficient recruitment of wage staff
- Administration of psychometric testing
- Personnel File creation and submission (Employment)
- Liaison with DOL and Community centers in relation to recruitment and career opportunities with G4S
- Conduct panel interviews with line management
- Pre-screening conducted and facilitation of vetting process
- Effective recruitment planning in relation to new business.
- Compliance with PSIRA Regulations and processes
- Compliance with PSIRA requirements wrt:
- Assistance in registration of employees
- Accurate PSIRA employee information compiled and submitted onto the vetting website

6. Minimum qualification
Grade 12
Minimum 3 years’ experience as HR practitioner
