**Marketing and Events Manager**

An Alternate Energy Consultant and Product Distributor is seeking a young, highly efficient

Marketing and Events Manager. The person will be expected to deliver on industry leading events, expo’s, workshops and product training initiatives that support the company’s sales team locally and eventually nationally. This role will take responsibility for the logistics, planning, presenting and managing of client engagements and events, both face to face and virtually.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Working with international brands and adapting marketing materials and strategies to align with the ever growing South African requirement for alternative energy offerings.

Specific Duties include;
- Compile a comprehensive marketing strategy in line with company & varying brand objectives for the South African market
- Compile a marketing budget in line with the annual marketing strategy
- Manage the execution of the marketing strategy, report and record successes and areas of improvement
- Ensure events deliver on company commitments to international stakeholders and client experience standards
- Where applicable, source and recommend suitable venues
- Select and liaise with external suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs
- Prepare a detailed budget for all events, and present for approval by company executives
- Manage the invitation process with digital marketing and ensure sign off by internal stakeholders
- Manage deadlines for all branded material, business information and payments
- Co-ordinate with marketing team and business stakeholders on the creation and sourcing of any marketing brochures, video recordings or branded material as required for a sponsorship and industry events
- Build a network of suppliers for branded gifts and items
- Work with business stakeholders to establish promotional item and gifting needs
- Remain abreast of new industry leading ideas and concepts

Provide logístical support for internal and external stakeholder events which could include but is not limited to;
- Staff events and strategy sessions
- External catering sourcing procurement
- Room or venue bookings
- Guest speaker confirmations and logistics
- Public Speaking and Presentations

General
- Ensure staff biographies are updated
- Update and circulate corporate calendar
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all key stakeholders

**Desired Experience and Qualification**
- Degree/Diploma in marketing & Events Management
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Marketing Manager & / Events planning role

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
