**Role title: Marketing & Events Manager of Time Out Market Cape Town**

**Location: Cape Town (Based in Time Out Market)**

**Reporting to: General Manager & Marketing Director, Time Out Market**

**Role overview**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Planning & Day to day execution**
- Develop an annual marketing plan - in collaboration with the wider team - including social media, campaigns, events and activations
- Create and execute the annual marketing calendars, ensuring all activity is on-brand - this requires clear briefs e.g. to design teams, reviewing press releases etc.
- Brief and lead external partners such as agencies with clear business requirements, deliverables and KPIs and evaluating the outcomes
- Social media - organic and paid ; content capture / creation and assisting on third-party shoots
- Work with our PR agency on PR and influencer engagements
- Work with our CRM team on a local CRM plan and execution
- Ensure content on the web is updated and all information is correct, working with the broader team
- Engage with and collaborate with our vendors
- Manage community digital platforms and review sites
- Execute marketing aspects across app
- Further grow our connection with the local community through collaborations and partnerships
- Responsible for executing all physical consumer message/promotional signage pertaining to the company environment
- Explore local advertising opportunities.
- Liaison with all third-party activations - cultural, sponsors, etc.
- Management of Events Co-ordinator

**Reporting & Collaboration**
- Monthly reporting
- Competitor research
- Monitor competitors
- Budget oversight
- Collaborate closely with the wider Marketing & PR team for brand alignment and guidance
- Where relevant, collaborating with the landlord marketing team on broader activations and promotions calendars

**Skills and Experience**
- Individual with a strong passion for the industry and the capability to identify and evaluate opportunities, navigate and influence outside of formal reporting lines and produce tangible results
- Proven working experience in digital, social, or traditional marketing
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple marketing campaigns and activations, utilisting digital tools
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising programs that engage, inform, and motivate
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in activations
- Knowledge of social media and analytic tools such as google analytics
- Strong communication and copy writing skills
- Ability to capture content that is social-media-worthy for our brand
- Experience leading consumer-focused projects and/or platforms
- Recognizes achievements that support team success
- Models and holds others accountable for leading ethically and with a high degree of integrity.
- Minimum Education: BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum Years of Experience: 5+ Years of relevant professional experience demonstrating progressive career growth
