**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:

- Monthly account reconciliations including, but not limited to supplier recons, cash book recons, payroll recons, VAT recons, intercompany group accounts.
- Able to resolve high level queries
- Review of monthly supplier ageing reports and take full ownership of month-end reports submitted to Financial Accountant.
- Group accounting including, but not limited to intercompany account recons.
- FAR maintenance, including depreciation, wear & tear calculations, residual values etc
- Preparation and assistance with all year end audit files
- Internal control checks for all finance related functions including, but not limited to validity and accuracy of Purchase Orders generated by admin departments, review compliance with company policies, SARS related compliance especially VAT details.
- Assist the Financial Accountant with any ad hoc tasks including, but not limited to analytical reviews, expenditure analysis.
- Internal control checks for stock procurement, including local and imports. Review of all related costs and billing pertaining to loading of stock on EVO.

**EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

- Minimum of 3 years accounting experience.
- Experience working for a large enterprise advantageous, ie. Group Accounting
- SARS e-filing experience advantageous
- Microsoft Office - strong Excel skills required,
- Experience in Sage Evolution is advantageous

**EDUCATION REQUIRED**:

- B-com degree or tertiary qualification in finance,
- SAIPA articles or SAICA articles is advantageous
