Bookkeeper Opportunity – Join Our Dynamic Finance Team

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for accuracy, reconciliation, and compliance?

We're looking for a Bookkeeper to support our growing Finance Team and ensure the integrity of financial records across all our group entities. If you're highly organised, thrive under pressure, and want to be part of a collaborative and high-performing team – we'd love to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process bank statements, petty cash, purchase cards, and credit card transactions
  • Ensure proper authorisation and ledger allocation of supplier invoices and purchase orders
  • Perform reconciliations: suppliers, payroll, VAT, cashbook, intercompany accounts
  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register, including depreciation calculations
  • Conduct internal control checks on stock procurement (local and imports)
  • Review supplier ageing reports and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with audit preparation and compile supporting financial documentation
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, VAT, and SARS requirements
  • Support the Financial Accountant with analysis and ad-hoc finance tasks

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' accounting/bookkeeping experience
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and reconciliations
  • Experience in group accounting (advantageous)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (essential)
  • Experience with Sage Evolution and SARS e-Filing (advantageous)
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education:

  • High School (Matric) (Required)
  • BCom in Accounting/Finance or completion of SAIPA/SAICA articles (Advantageous)
