accounts payable senior|senior creditors clerk

**Position summary**:
The successful Accounts Payable Senior will have good understanding of all accounts payable principles and have a process improvement mindset. You will be inquisitive and able to challenge the status quo with experience of using Finance packages, Excel, good numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail.

**Minimum requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Financial Diploma/Certificate or similar tertiary qualification
- Driver’s license
- Own vehicle

**Experience/knowledge & skills**:

- Accounts Payable experience
- Experience of leading a team will be advantageous
- Excellent reconciliation skills and financial applicable technical knowledge
- Strong resistance to pressure and experience of a high-volume environment
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and ensure all suppliers are paid according to terms
- Excellent computer literacy
- Sufficient Excel skills (advanced level will be advantageous)
- Sage Evolution experience advantageous

**Key performance areas**:

- Assist the Accounts Payable Lead & team members to meet their objectives
- Supervising and standing in for Accounts Payable Lead when required
- Support internal teams and external suppliers with account queries
- Continuously improve the reconciliation and payment process, including automation where possible
- Preparation and checking of supplier reconciliations
- Reviewing and preparing supplier payment batches
- Preparation of age analysis recons
- Assist with month-end close
- Assist auditors with year-end audit
