Sales Manager

**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelors degree in working and thinking level supplemented with a commercial or business education.
- At least 10 years of relevant (sales) work experience.
- Preferably knowledge of / network in the Fitness industry and/or the (para) medical market.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and ERP software
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for planning, controlling, and directing activities of the field sales force
- Responsible for the day-to-day sales activities, including activity control of sales organisation and approval of sales deals according to Delegation Of Authority (DOA).
- Leads, coaches and develops direct reports and encourages an open, supportive team culture.
- Formulates short and mid-term sales strategies in conjunction with revenue budget targets, agreed product portfolio as well as distribution channel priorities.
- Develops strategies, selling programs and promotions that provide a competitive advantage to the sales force to leverage existing business and penetrate new accounts.
- Organise and coordinate activity related to the acquisition of the new business in the market owned by competitors.
- Responsible for forecasting in core/vertical, both weekly sales forecasting and product forecasting.
- Makes consistent visits to customer in the market to ensure partnerships and alliances within the fitness and other synergistic industries in order to capitalize on markets trends, and growth and lever the companys positioning and brand reputation.
- Works with existing sales team to develop a coordinated approach to optimise margin while attacking strategic wins in the marketplace.
- Prepares and controls budget for sales department operating expenses.
- Prepares sales forecast for use in budgeting, production forecast and control of inventories.
- Creates and maintains close and productive working relationships with all direct reports as well as with all Functional Heads and back-office functions, this as a member of the Management Team.
- Represents the company at industry associations, industry events, trade shows and PR-events.
- Performs other related duties as required (e.g. strategic/special sales projected as determined by the business.
