Group Marketing Manager

As a multi-product, non-linear marketing function, a heavy weight marketer that is comfortable with change and a very diverse workday is key. Effortless and competent transition is needed between business to business and business to customer marketing strategies.
The role requires your contribution to defining and driving various brands and products to a range of stakeholders, establishing a robust and compelling value proposition for each product, building and tailoring the messaging strategy and developing creative marketing campaigns and activity for various customer segments.
ooba is a channel agnostic business so needs someone comfortable working across multiple channels, including traditional media channels, activations, events, CRM, Social Media and other digital channels. A good understanding of user experience, lead marketing and the role that these channels play in delivering a marketing campaign, is essential.
You will be passionate about the importance of excellent marketing communications and have creative ideas for how the organization’s presence and brand recognition can be further developed to support brand awareness, market penetration and engagement.
You will be comfortable taking and translating business strategy into a marketing communication strategy - from planning through to creative conceptualization of campaigns and execution across multiple touch points within the business.
You will have a proven record of strategy development and operational delivery, alongside technical experience, which will enable you to hit the ground running. You will be creative and be comfortable with conceptualizing campaigns, writing copy, designing collateral and directing the creative elements of all campaigns with the internal design team.
**Required Qualification & Experience
- Relevant marketing qualification from a reputable tertiary institution
- 10 - 15 years’ experience in a similar role where you have been expected to work independently
- Agency experience is an advantage (as an indication that you have been involved in the conceptualisation and design of marketing campaigns)
- Demonstrable experience managing the creative process, including the ability to conceptualise and design campaigns (strategically), write copy, direct video production, define treatments, etc.

- Intimate knowledge and understanding of the role of User Experience and how this shapes the go-to-market strategy, messaging architecture and value proposition
- Comfortable working across multiple products and services and managing the communication of the B2B and B2C marketing strategies
- Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a complex, rapidly-evolving environment
- Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
- Proficient communicator (excellent verbal and written communication skills).

**Key Performance Areas
- Manage the brand to ensure consistent communication of the organization’s mission and values across all channels and ensure that the integrity of the brand is maintained and promoted at all times
- Develop and oversee the delivery of a business and product communications strategy to build the respective products or services, including writing and editing effective copy, conceptualizing and designing communication and managing the execution of all activity across the business
- Create a structure and framework in terms of branding and marketing from which your team can develop marketing activity to support the organization’s activities, including market research, sales collateral and advertising
- Identify and effectively utilize a range of channels to deliver successful results including above the line, direct and digital marketing
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of all marketing/communications activity
- Manage internal communications
- Plan and manage the annual marketing budget
- Oversee the design, implementation and management of CRM campaigns including the design of campaigns, both strategically and creatively and the execution and reporting on all performance
- Act in a consulting capacity providing expert opinion to external stakeholders who engage the services of ooba of any of the products or services that we offer
- Build and execute a business-to-business marketing strategy to support partner business initiatives and manage the creative development and execution of the campaign elements
- Manage the conceptualizing of all work produced by the internal agency
- Develop copy and conceptualize design for campaign elements across multiple products and services, working with our designer
