The role of the Head of Sales at The Royal Portfolio is to develop and maintain global sales and industry relationships, in order to drive group top line revenue. This ensures that we can continue to deliver on our company purpose, which is _"To give our guests a complete experience and a perfect stay"_.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- **Team Leadership**:

- Leading the team of Sales Managers an in-country representation personnel
- **Lead generation **- Regular meetings, conducting of product training, the co-ordination of site visits and educationals. Continually looking for opportunities to bring in new business and grow the current client base. Looking for ways to collaborate with partners in the luxury space, thereby expanding the company’s reach.
- **Marketing, Reservations and Revenue Strategy **- Collaborate with the other departments of Marketing, Communications, Reservations and Revenue to maximise brand exposure, occupancy and yield.
- **Reporting** **-** **Regular reporting on sales activity, feedback, enquiries, conversions and questions. Keeping the CRM up to date. Constant research on market intelligence.
- **Communication **-** **Ensure comprehensive communication with clients to ensure all of their queries are addressed accurately and timeously.
- **Travel & Trade shows **- Travel locally and internationally representing the company in agency offices and at local & international travel shows.

REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS
- At least 10 years of experience in the luxury industry
- A sound understanding of luxury hospitality brands and their offering.
- Well mannered, self-motivated, positive and eager to learn.
- Sophisticated communication skills - written and verbal.
- Highly responsive and efficient.
- A flexible approach to working hours.
- Ability to travel for extended periods.
- Previous international travel experience and travel trade show experience a must.

South African citizenship is advantageous. A valid work permit is essential if you are not in possession of a South African ID document.
