**Vacancy: Research Officer**

**Description**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- Minimum of an Honours degree (advanced progress with Master’s degree recommended)
- Minimum of one year working in a research environment
- Evidence of past research proposal writing
- Good grasp of research language and processes, high level written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and competing interests

**Role**:

- To provide comprehensive research and administrative support as required by senior staff on all aspects of one or more Early Childhood Development (ECD) projects, to ensure their successful delivery.

**Scope**:

- Provide assistance to the Director and RME Manager/consultant to conduct high level research, and any other tasks as instructed from time to time.
- Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of research projects

**Responsibilities**:

- Undertake research duties associated with one or more research projects
- Draft literature reviews and analysis
- Develop, implement and evaluate key stakeholder/expert interviews
- Provide administrative support to senior project staff in managing research projects
- Provide inputs in the planning and development phase of new projects to ensure the project meets with client expectations
- Contribute to policy briefs
- Submit monthly updates to the RME Manager/Consultant

**Monthly Salary**: R23 003

**Salary**: R23,003.00 per month
