**OUTLINE**

**Overview**:
Manage and analyse project data and cost to support successful delivery of capital programmes. Responsible

for data integration, provision of accurate strategic and operational data, monitoring and evaluation performance reporting, optimization of portfolio program and project management (PPM) controls and systems in line with Infrastructure Delivery Management Systems (FIPDM) and compliance to related operating procedures and

legislations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Development and optimization of business processes to ensure efficient performance and improved project management. Monitor and track long term planned projects on project management system to ensure compliance to project governance. Evaluate and review adequacy of resources (PMS) and ensure the achievement of project management maturity level. Manage and secure project data for retrieval on as and when required. This entails
- evidence records supporting performance data and compliance for audit purposes. Consolidate weekly, monthly,
- and quarterly reports covering physical progress, quality, and financial progress within specified reporting due dates. Manage capital expenditure and update commitments register continually. Manage the coordination and reporting of local development goals entailing jobs creation and SMMEs development on capital projects. Prepare a checklist of
- all the quality parameters for compliance by all team members. Ensure performance contracts are developed and agreed with subordinates in line with approved BSC scorecard and departmental targets. Manage external service providers or suppliers supporting the delivery of capital and operational requirements for the company. Manage procurement of orders, processing of claims or invoices and assets capitalization and identification of capitalized
- assets. Ensure efficiency and improved turnaround times in data processing and reporting. Set dashboard and
- access reports of project management system (SAP modules and other related). Ensure capital and operational budgets management and periodic adjustments in line with relevant regulations. Ensure protection of project data against data manipulation and corruption by users. Develop and manage document tracking system. Collate queries received and report on the resolution.

**Job Requirements**

**Essential qualifications and experience**:

- BSc/BTech Degree in Information Management Systems or Civil Engineering (NQF Level 7)
- Registration as professional in related professional

body
- 12 years’ relevant experience in management of Projects.
- Experience in Project Management using software such as IPPM or SAP project System
- Have prior involvement in Local Government Capital expenditure and understand business processes in managing and executing capital projects
- Skills in data analytics, security, management and graphical representation and reporting
- Monitoring and evaluation of project performance including management of strategic and project risks
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
