Requirements
- A relevant B degree
- Up to eight (8) years’ senior managerial experience in the

management of transport fleet
- Supply chain management experience would be advantageous
- A valid driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas
- Guide, advise and implement policies, procedures, systems and

processes in the department so that service delivery is efficiently and

effectively managed.

- Project manage all public transport fleet projects to ensure that

projects are completed on time, within allocated budget and in

compliance with project management processes and legislation.
- Manage public transport fleet tenders/procurements and ensure

effective contract management in accordance with applicable

- Facilitate the procurement and building of buses according to

specifications in order to ensure the City assets are procured to the

correct legislative and in compliance with all regulations.

- Warranty management to ensure that the City assets achieves

Asset Life Cycle Costing and value for money.
- Manage penalties for compliance to contractual obligations, in

order to ensure the obligation committed by the supplier is upheld.
- Manage fleet administration, fleet registry and SharePoint sites
- Staff management.
