WATER AND SANITATION Head - Fleet Management and Mechanical Works
**Requirements**:

- BSc/BTech/Advance Diploma/B Engineering Degree: Mechanical,

Fleet Management, or a related field.
- 8 years and above relevant experience in fleet management and

mechanical works, fleet maintenance and managing and
controlling workshop related activities and experience in an
automotive environment.
- Knowledge of the OHS Act, MFMA, local authority policies

and procedures, SCM policies and tender procedures in relevant
industry.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, and solid knowledge of fleet

management software and mechanical systems.
- Proven track record in leading teams and personal leadership to

influence and positively motivate self and peers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability

to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- A valid Code EB (08) driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas
- Leads, directs and manages the implementation of the water

services fleet strategy as well as ensure the continual revision
thereof, ensuring alignment between policy, strategy and
business plans.
- Ensures alignment with water services fleet policies and City's

fleet policies.
- Ensure that all fleet activities are conducted in compliance with

the relevant legislation (occupational health and safety act, road
transport legislation and the road transport quality system), city
policies and relevant strategies.
- Development, implementation and ongoing refinement of service

level agreements with clients of water services fleet.
- Ensure that the fleet assets belonging to water and sanitation are

managed cost effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure a proper processes and systems for the correct reflection

of each fleet life cycle asset status.
- Ensure the effective and efficient, operation of the fleet

administration and governance unit.
