**Minimum requirements for the role**:
- A Degree or Diploma in Food Technology or Business Studies is preferred but not essential for the role.
- The company is happy to consider someone who does not have a qualification but has extensive chemical raw material sales experience within the food manufacturing industry.
- Previous key account management or sales experience calling on the food manufacturing industry is preferred for the role.
- Excellent command of English is a must with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have strong business acumen and a commercial orientation, with the ambition to develop a career.
- Must be an entrepreneurial individual with a positive can-do attitude.
- Managing key accounts and product management for an assigned product portfolio of food manufacturing companies.
- Driving inventory planning through coordinating forecasts and defining relevant stock levels by working closely with suppliers and supply chain.
- Regularly tracking business and pipeline performance and identifying priorities by coordinating information flow between principals, thereby aligning sales and marketing strategies with suppliers.
- Calling on selected and prospective customers in line with the KPIs to obtain orders and market information as well as developing business and ensuring the required service levels are maintained.
- Responsible for budget and requirements planning.
- Coordinating and attending meetings with overseas principals coming to SA.
- Liaising and working closely with principals regarding new products and new technology for SA customers.
