Store Manager

The Store Manager is responsible for to ensure an efficient restaurant operation by maintaining high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Ensure the store operates in a profitable and cost effective manner.
Do store opening, closing other quality checks.
Conduct daily cash-up's, banking, other in-house controls and supplier account invoices.
Ensure the proper control of management controlled expenses.
Manage and encourage superior customer service and suggestive selling with the staff.
Ensure product quality and hygiene quality control.
Manage all employees regarding their shifts and job functions.
Communicate cost saving initiatives to promote increased profitability.
Create a positive and conducive working environment for all employees.
Conduct regular meetings with employees to share information, discuss developmental areas and get feedback.
Carry out any request or instruction made by your Regional Manager or any other senior to yourself.
Assist with any official company events as may be required operationally from time to time outside of normal work hours.
Attend all management meetings and compulsory training programmes.
Report all complaints, compliments, injury on duty, fire, theft, loss, damage and any other disciplinary / irregularities to your Regional Manager.
Always maintain high standards of general cleanliness / hygiene and safety in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
Grade 12 / Matric Qualification
Minimum 2 years' experience in a restaurant environment
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management role
Experience working in the Food and Beverage sector and Quick Service Restaurant sector
Computer Literate (Proficient in Microsoft Office i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel)
Related Retail Management qualification (advantageous)
Exposure to Gaap Point of Sale software (advantageous)
Bilingual (advantageous)
An in-depth understanding of retail customer experience needs.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with fellow colleagues and customers.
Effective written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Accurate with high attention to detail and critical thinking ability to identify and foresee potential challenges.
Logical with solid planning, organising and time management skills to ensure efficient execution of tasks.
Strong data management and multitasking ability to manage high volumes of work in a fast-paced work environment.
Able to withstand pressure of multiple workloads and meet deadlines within a specified timeframe.
Able to work independently as well as within various teams to drive projects to completion.
Able to practice a respectful, positive attitude and upbeat spirit with all employees and customers.
Able to display a strong “team player” and supportive approach to staff and colleagues.
Able to conduct yourself in a professional manner to promote a favourable public perception of the company.
