Bim/ Autocad Technician/ Design Assistant

This role will also provide supporting technical, design, and engineering service to the Group on projects, as directed by the Associate/Associate Director, and will be mentored by senior QCIC consultants in the delivery of security projects and quality management.

**What you will do** **BIM/AutoCAD**
- BIM modelling for electronic engineering services using Revit software as well as AutoCAD for drawing linkage, clean-up and legacy work.
- Set up Revit project and modify Revit models and drawings for team members on the company server, whilst ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Follow BIM standards and development procedures.
- Adhere to the BIM execution plan and BIM project workflow.
- Collaborate and Coordinate with other disciplines’ design changes and model challenges (internally and externally).
- Prepare BIM models for coordination meetings.
- Ensure designs and drawings adhere to deadlines.
- The production of 2D drawings from the Revit model.
- Coordinating drawing production in line with project requirements (BEP) and in conjunction with other clients and other disciplines (external to QCIC).
- Helping to technically deliver Revit projects in the role of CAD and BIM coordination.
- Document control and filing of all drawings.
- Ultimately, you’ll support our procedures maintaining transparent, up-to-date, and easily traceable documents.

**Design Support**
- Assist internal project managers with project deliverables through structural design milestone delivery stages.
- Attend internal project design review meetings and distribute meeting minutes and action logs to internal engineers for remediation.
- Assist with reviewing and formulating master templates (i.e. presentations, reports), consolidating them into a standard format and storing them within a pre-established centralised repository.
- Assist senior management with the creation of financial project proposals.
- Complete daily reviews of online project Document Management Systems (DMS), logging actions and items for remediation within a centralised action tracker.
- Collaborate and provide input on project and company presentations as required.
- Use of the company’s internal software to place QCIC drawings onto architect backgrounds.
- Setting up projects including fee schedules using the company’s timesheet software.

**What we are looking for**
- Adequate work experience within a similar role.
- Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal).
- The propensity for multi-tasking with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Tertiary Education - Meng or BEng (Electric or Electrical Engineering).
- Deadline-driven, with good time management, organisational skills, with high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Enthusiasm and drive to research current trending BIM technologies and workflows etc.
- Good working knowledge of Revit sharing platforms.
- Experience in the building services environment.
- Excellent planning and organization skills are required for our fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
- Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
- Revit experience on LOD400 project delivery level.
- We’re looking for an experienced mid-level Revit Technician/modeller draughts person with experience within a BIM environment.
- Committed to delivering an excellent level of service to the design team and an eye for detail.
- Excellent Excel skills, able to use various functions to produce and amend fee proposals.
- Excellent attention to detail specifically when comparing contractor’s CAD drawings with QCIC CAD drawings.
- Knowledge of CAD drawings and/or site plans.
