Quality Assurance Lead

**Location: Cape Town**

**Hybrid work model: Minimum two days a week in the office, with an option to work remotely for the remaining three days**

**Contract Type: Fixed-term contract linked to the project (**_The project is anticipated to run until July 2026_**)**

**Job summary**:
The Quality Assurance Lead is a key appointment at Construct that takes the lead in the implementation, monitoring, and reviewing of Quality Assurance procedures for **online learning courses** pertaining to a specific project. **Content editing experience is necessary to excel in this role.** The Quality Assurance Lead will review deliverables, validate the accuracy of the review processes, document Quality Assurance findings, recommend areas for improvement, and promote quality standards and best practices across courses.

This is a position of responsibility that requires the ability to work autonomously and the confidence to provide sound direction and guidance to colleagues regarding Quality Assurance requirements and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Establish and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
- Create/set up project Playbook and quality standards.
- Review deliverables at set key validation points and conduct verification checks in between.
- Support the internal course review processes throughout the different stages of development.
- Manage the process of ensuring the accuracy and correctness of the information in the Playbook and communicate any changes that might affect current review processes.
- Implement the Playbook evaluation and review process.
- Guide the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of Quality Assurance processes and procedures, including the development and delivery of training and information sessions for the team.
- Keep an accurate record documenting Quality Assurance activities and create audit reports that facilitate the improvement of the succeeding course review.

**Requirements**:

- Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail, while being a stickler for consistency.
- Exceptional command of language and expert editing skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Management.
- Evidence of being a highly organised worker.
- Proven ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
- A highly effective communicator, verbally and in writing.
- Technical competency to work on different platforms and with a variety of online tools: Google Suite, Slack, MS Teams, Frame, BugHerd.
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines is essential.
- Self-directed and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Management in a further or higher education context is advantageous.
- Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) requirement and experience in digital education is a bonus.
